The land comprises 13.76 acres of very diverse and interesting land. The land has a former limestone quarry within it offering dramatic limestone cliffs, together with two grass paddocks, mixed woodland, stone walls and areas of wild flowers. It has gated access from the A6108 which runs along the western boundary. The land is enclosed by stone walls and post & wire fences to three sides. There is a natural spring running within the land. Part of the land lies within the Lower Swaledale Woods and Grasslands Site of Special Scientific Interest.
